Our Story

Our story

Our story is a story of surrender and waiting for the Lords perfect timing that is evidence of the Lord working through other people.

It starts with going way back to 2018 when Sadie, and Isaac’s sister, Stacy, worked at Latitude 42 together. Fast forward to November, 2023, Sadie had just moved back from Georgia, and Stacy started doing Sadie’s hair. Stacy mentioned she had single brothers at Radiant (Isaac and Sadie’s church). Sadie wasn’t interested but did stalk Isaac on social media. Stacy was working behind the scenes saying the same thing to Isaac. He also stalked Sadie on social media but wasn’t interested.

Fast forward to May, 2024, Sadie was serving high school students at Radiant and Isaac was serving middle school students. They had a combined student night and while Sadie was sitting on a curb with some other girls of course talking about boys, a friend, Annie, mentioned Issac. Annie went up to her husband, Pastor Daniel, also a friend of Isaac and Sadie, and said “what about Sadie and Isaac?” Pastor Daniel’s response was “ohhh yeah”. Sadie laughing saying “no no no that’s okay I’m good.”

Fast forward to August 30th 2024 Sadie got her hair done again by Stacy, where there was a repeat of what happened before only this time Sadie told Stacy the story from back in May and Stacy decided to mention it to Isaac again. The next day, Sadie was hanging out with mutual friend, Carrie, who also works on Isaac’s team at work, telling her about these previous stories. Carrie then, getting involved, tells all the girls at work and asked if she could give Isaac Sadie’s number. Sadie said sure not thinking anything of it.

A week later Sadie’s birthday was coming up, and she had dinner with her parents, who could see the disappointment and frustration of singleness on her face. James, her mom’s husband, prompted Sadie to sit with the Lord and ask him. Sadie went home that night and spent time praying and journaling with the Lord.
The next night Sadie came home and cried and journaled with the Lord but this time surrendering singleness and letting the Lord satisfy the need and want for marriage.
The very next day Isaac texted and asked Sadie on their first date!
As Sadie and Isaac dated intentionally, they found they had so much in common, had the same beliefs and values, shared their faith in Jesus and very quickly knew they were the one for each other.
