Sage was visiting one of her best friends, Lauren, for President’s Day Weekend in Colorado. The plan was the go to Army vs. Air Force hockey game after going to dinner with some of Lauren’s husband, Tom, co-workers. Sage was warned she was going to meet someone really funny and fun to be around… then that she’d wish he was two inches taller. (This is the first picture Sage ever took of Riley, she was “secretly” taking it to send to her friends).

The Colorado trip continues at Breckenridge where Riley pushes his luck with Sage. She is not the greatest skier after learning on the hills in Ohio and Riley takes this opportunity to poke fun at Sage...her competitive nature was not a fan. (Don't worry we all go to dinner afterwards and Sage realizes Riley ain't too bad of a guy).

Sage invited Riley to spend a beach weekend with her and her friends.

Riley runs 100 miles at Zion the same weekend Lane competes at Best Ranger Competition. After going directly from the finish line of the race onto a red eye flight to Atlanta, Riley cold calls Sage while driving when he is 20 minutes from Columbus, GA and invites himself to breakfast. It was the first time Chett and Bethanie met Riley!

Riley officially asked Sage to date and from then on they have been together full speed ahead, running at 100mph, traveling the world just as they did on their own but now doing it together.

Riley planned the ENTIRE thing. It was the best birthday Sage has ever had between Lane, Justin, and Riley all being there and all the activities Riley planned.

Sage and Riley spent the weekend on the beach at a music festival with their friend, Braudrick. It was an absolute blast.

Sage and Riley's friends Lauren and Tom flew to Pensacola for the weekend to all spend time together. Truly special times to get to spend together with the people who introduced us to each other!

We went to an Atlanta Braves Game with Riley's hometown best friend, Danny, and his wife Katie!

Riley's twin, Anna, got married to Eric and we got to be there to celebrate them!

Riley came to Ohio for the first time to see where Sage was from and spend time on the farm and at the lake with her family!

Trying to make the most of our time living close to the beach, we took a trip to do some deep sea fishing!

Riley was privileged to follow in Emma Rodriguez’s footsteps by taking Sage on a date to Firefly in PCB.

We were so lucky to get to live so close to Riley's family while we were in Alabama and get to have weekend like these with family!

We soon realized we didn't want to spend 3.5 years apart from each other so the Army was gracious enough to put us together in New York. Despite Sage not getting to go to Hawaii for years, Riley still took her on a trip and she is continuously reminded that God places us exactly where and when we need to be somewhere. Anyplace is better with Riley than "paradise" alone.

There’s never been an easier yes. Riley *almost* pulled off the surprise. It was better than Sage could have ever imagined and just perfect. A moment forever frozen in time in Waimanalo, HI.

We moved to upstate New York for our next duty assignment!

We got to travel to Michigan to spend Thanksgiving with Riley's grandparents (and to watch Ohio State beat Michigan!).

We got to travel to Ohio to spend time with family for the holidays!

We also got to travel to Georgia to spend time with family too!

Planning, details, and all that comes with a wedding are in motion! Sage and Riley make one of Sage's dreams come true by getting branded Tecovas for their wedding!

Sage and Riley wanted a brand for their family and they were able to include their initials. Ironically, its the same initials as Sage's Family Ranch (Soul Escape Ranch). So when you see our brand at the wedding, now you will know what it means!

The location and date weren’t picked by accident. It’s always been Sage’s dream to get married on her parent’s farm, no matter where that was. She wanted to branch into her future with her husband where her roots began. Sage’s parents anniversary is August 5th and Riley’s parents anniversary is May 15th. Hence our anniversary will be August 15th. We thought it would be a small way to get to honor both sets of our parents. We wouldn’t be who we are today without them and the sacrifices they’ve made to raise us. We are beyond blessed and eternally grateful and can’t thank you enough for joining us on our day and being a part of our story.
