"Zion offers hiking, camping, backpacking, climbing, and more, making it a popular summer vacation spot for families and adventurers.
The highlight of Zion National Park is an expansive canyon. Averaging 2,000 feet deep, Zion Canyon offers hiking opportunities along its floor in the 20 to 30 foot wide area known as The Narrows and the challenging area known as The Subway. Swimming is also permitted in this area of the Virgin River.
Other spectacular features of Zion include natural rock arches. Two of the most prominent are the Crawford and Kolob. One thousand feet above the canyon floor, Crawford Arch can be seen from the patio of the park's Human History Museum. Kolob Arch is visible by those hiking within the area of the park's Kolob Canyon. Other stone arches at Zion include Double Pine, Jughandle, Chinle Trail, and Hidden Arch."

"Venture onto a shifting sea of red sand. Changed by winds, these mountains and hills of sand can move as much as 50 feet per year. With areas for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts and those with non-motorized pursuits, the dunes offer adventures for all."

"The Red Cliffs Desert Reserve offers a variety of hikes ranging from very easy to very strenuous. The eastern reaches include the highly recommended Red Cliffs Nature Trail and the Babylon area. The Millcreek and Grapevine sections of the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve are unfussy, easy on the eyes, and, for the most part, quite mellow for hiking. The Western and Red Mountain portions of Red Cliffs Desert Reserve are as stunning as desert terrain can be — and they’re situated near charming Kayenta, where a tourist-friendly artists’ village lies."

"Ancestor Square is a historic site in St. George, Utah where you can find handful of restaurants, shops as well as a few historically registered 19th century buildings.
Enjoy viewing several of the historical buildings on the square, including the small jailhouse and sandstone building, The Grundy House, Samuel Miles Jr. Home and the Gardeners Club.
It is interesting to see the simple constructions of the jail house and sandstone building as well as the 19th century architecture of the other properties. Each sight has a small black plaque with basic information you can read to learn about the property.
You can comfortably walk around and see all in 15 minutes, making a good way to kill some time while waiting for your table at one of the restaurants on the square. In the end, it is good that these old buildings have been preserved and can be enjoyed in this day and age."

"Bloomington Petroglyph Park is located in a residential subdivision in the community of Bloomington in St. George, Utah. The site is made up of several large boulders that have hundreds of petroglyphs that were left by the ancient inhabitants of the area. Some of the petroglyphs appear to be part of a solar calendar that may have been used to identify special times of the year for ceremonies that may also have occured at the same location."
