Ibtihaj and I met almost six years ago, and our journey has been nothing short of a beautiful love story. When I first met him, the first thing I asked was if he was from Pakistan. The look on his face, like “How does she know?” was unforgettable. From then on, we started talking to each other a bit until he asked me out on a date. From our first date, we connected deeply, even though I was 20 minutes late (fashionably late, of course). From that moment, our love story began.
Like other couples, we had our arguments and differences, as we both have distinct personalities. However, we never gave up on each other. Our love and respect for one another always triumphed. We have made each other better in every way (and learned to laugh at each other’s quirks).
Our love is like a timeless novel, with each chapter bringing us closer and making our bond stronger. It’s a love that has weathered storms and blossomed in the sunshine. It’s a love that grows deeper with each passing day, filled with shared dreams, laughter, and unwavering support.
We have been married legally, and since it was during the pandemic, we didn’t get to celebrate it with our family and friends. We want to celebrate with all our loved ones by hosting our wedding/reception party. Please join us on August 31st to celebrate our love story. Your presence will mean a lot to us (and we promise not to be late this time)!
