Our Wedding

Like so many in our generation, we first crossed paths on a dating app (thank you, Hinge!) in Boise, February 2019. Our first date was at a rock climbing gym, and it didn’t take long for us to realize that we had so many shared interests and hobbies. However, our new relationship was quickly tested by long distance—Kevin was living in McCall, two hours north of Boise—and the arrival of COVID, which brought travel restrictions and quarantine. As Kevin’s fire season began, the demands on his time made it harder to foster our connection, and we decided it might be best to just stay friends.But after a summer apart, we both came to the same realization: what we had was something special. In August 2019, we gave it another shot—and the rest is history. We quickly became each other’s best friend and main support system, building a home away from home. Our shared love for adventure and the great outdoors brought us even closer. Together we began dreaming of buying a house and settling down in Boise. That dream came true in October 2024, when Kevin took a job with the City of Boise Fire Department and we bought our first home.In May 2024, Kevin proposed to Sam during a beautiful hike, followed by a BBQ celebration with friends. Sam says he absolutely nailed it!Our journey has been one of love, growth, and a whole lot of adventure. We can’t wait to continue this next chapter with all of you by our side!

1. What should I wear to the wedding?Answer: The dress code is semi-formal and we encourage guests to bring a layer as temperatures can drop once the sun sets. The venue is grass so please consider this when selecting your footwear. 2. Is there a gift registry?Answer: Yes! We have registered at Amazon and have a honeymoon/house renovation fund through this website. You can find our Amazon registry at https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/BrumbachAnderson2025&nbsp;We appreciate your love and support, and your presence is the best gift of all. 3. Can I bring a plus one?Answer: If your invitation includes a plus one, we’d be thrilled to have them join us. If you’re unsure, please check your invitation or contact us to clarify. 4. What time should I arrive at the ceremony?Answer: Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony starts to ensure you have time to find a seat and settle in. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm 5. Where will the wedding ceremony and reception take place?Answer: The ceremony and reception will take place at Bishop’s House. Parking is available onsite and if you prefer not to drive we would recommend getting an Uber or Lyft to the venue 6. Is there parking available?Answer: Yes, there is ample parking at the venue. For those needing additional assistance, please feel free to reach out. 7. Are children invited?Answer: The wedding is an adult-only event, however Children are invited to the Welcome Party on Friday evening. 8. Do you have child care recommendations?If you are travelling from out of town with your littles ones and need childcare for the night of the wedding please reach out to Sam or Kevin directly for a list of recommended baby sitters.&nbsp; 9. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?Answer: The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. Please dress accordingly for the weather. 10. Can I take photos during the ceremony?Answer: We ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony to allow our professional photographer to capture the moment. After the ceremony, we encourage you to take as many pictures as you’d like! 11. Will there be food and drinks?Answer: Yes, there will be a taco buffet at the reception, along with signature cocktails, wine and beer. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP. 12. Can I make changes to my RSVP after submitting it?Answer: If your plans change after you’ve submitted your RSVP, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll update your response accordingly. 13. What happens if it rains?Answer: In the event of bad weather, the ceremony will be moved to inside onsite.&nbsp; 14. While there are no hotels located close to the wedding venue, The Bishop's House. There are many good hotel options in downtown Boise which is a short drive away from the venue. This is by no means an exhaustive list but just a few of our personal recommendations.

The Boise River Greenbelt is one of the city’s most popular outdoor spots, offering over 25 miles of scenic walking, biking, and jogging paths along the river. You can rent bikes, kayaks, or paddleboards to make the most of the area.

The Boise Foothills offer an extensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails. Popular hikes include Table Rock, which offers panoramic views, and the Hull’s Gulch trail system, which is great for those looking for a mix of challenging terrain and scenic beauty.

Located at the base of the foothills, Hyde Park is one of Boise’s most charming and historic neighborhoods. The area is known for its tree-lined streets, independent shops, and cozy cafés, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. Enjoy lunch at one of the local eateries, browse through the boutiques, or relax in Camel’s Back Park with its lovely views of the city. Hyde Park also offers access to several foothill hiking trails, providing both outdoor adventure and urban charm in one location.

Tour Boise's Local Breweries

Just a short drive from downtown Boise, the winery region in Garden City is a hidden gem for wine lovers. You can enjoy tastings of award-winning wines, relax on scenic patios, and even attend special harvest celebrations. Some of our favorites wineries in the area include Cinder Wines, Telaya Wine Co. Split Rail Winery, Proletariat Wine Co, and Rolling Hills Vineyard. It's a relaxing and flavorful way to spend an afternoon or evening.

Garden City Wineries

The Idaho Botanical Garden is a beautiful spot to spend a day. Take a leisurely stroll through the themed gardens, including the rose garden, herb garden, and native plant garden. There are also often events and concerts held at the garden during this time. This is located right next to our venue, The Bishop’s House. The Old Idaho Penitentiary is a fascinating historic site that was in operation from 1872 to 1973. In September, the weather is great for exploring the old prison grounds, where you can take guided tours and learn about the history of the prison, including its notorious inmates and the infamous executions. This is located right next to our venue, The Bishop’s House.

For a unique family-friendly experience, the Old Boise ModelTrain Exhibit located in the basement of the historic Pioneer Building in downtown Boise is a must-see. This exhibit features an impressive display of model trains and dioramas that showcase the history and importance of railroads in Idaho. Be sure to check their hours prior to visiting as they are odd. While there check out one of my favorite shops Idaho Made upstairs.

If you’re planning on extending your stay in Idaho, the Sawtooth Mountains and McCall are just a couple of hours from Boise. Known for their stunning beauty, these destinations offer hiking, fishing, and spectacular views. In September, you can catch the early fall colors and enjoy the cooler mountain temperatures.
