Our Wedding

Attending the University of Georgia was never a part of my "plan", but the Lord's plans for our lives are far greater than our own. Going into my second year at UGA, God was moving in my life and I was making adjustments to fully surrender to Him through it. I met Sam during this season and I knew it was part of what the Lord was so beautifully orchestrating. Sam and I were both business majors and had a few classes together. From the start, I felt more open and comfortable with him than I typically did with new people. We got to know each other and I would catch myself often thinking that he was the type of man I could see myself marrying and ultimately starting a family with. His character, wisdom, faith, confidence, intentionality, and authenticity were so clear and steady - something rare for a young guy in college. As we started dating, this all became even clearer as I got to experience the wonderful person he is firsthand and I knew I wanted to continue to grow with him and build a life together. The last few years have been special as we've gotten to experience graduation, starting full-time jobs, and developing into more mature adults together. I'm thankful for how much we've already learned and experienced together and I'm excited to keep walking through all life brings together!

From the Bride:

Going into my second year at the University of Georgia, fresh off of a pandemic, we had just started in person classes again. I quickly noticed this girl who I shared several classes with and seemed to share the same bus routes with as well. This girl was Chloe. I usually sat by myself, but I started sitting closer to her and her group of friends as the first couple of weeks went by. It wasn't until our first group project that I had my first full conversation with this (beautiful) girl. Unfortunately, we didn't end up in the same group, but this opened the door to us actually speaking to each other and eventually sitting together. I always made it to every class, but I found myself getting to class earlier (yes, even before our 8am class) just to sit and talk with Chloe. Looking back, I can't say I remember any of those conversations, but I can say that's when I started to not only get to know her as a person and a friend, but started falling in love with her too. Out of my abundance for caution, we waited a year to start officially dating although, I will admit, we scheduled our classes together the very next semester and have been essentially glued to the hip ever since. We started studying together, going to church together, and she even came to practically every intramural sporting event I had. After three years of dating, during which we graduated together, started our careers, and got the most precious rescue dog, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my time on this earth with this amazing, beautiful, and caring woman. On July 27, 2025, I proposed to her at the college where we met. This brings us to where we are now - constantly growing, with the Lord, as adults, and as a couple. I thank God everyday for the life he has laid out for each of us and the future that's planned for us. We are beyond excited to enter into this next chapter of our lives together!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE CEREMONY?

The ceremony will begin at 4pm, so we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to park, sign the guestbook, and find a seat! The venue will not let guests up once the ceremony begins. If you arrive at 4pm or later, they will only let you in once the ceremony has ended.

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

The attire for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail.

WHERE CAN WE PARK?

There is parking onsite. Parking attendants will guide you when you arrive!

WILL THE WEDDING TAKE PLACE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside and the reception will be inside.

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS?

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, so please be prepared to turn your phone off for that portion of the night. Pictures are welcome during cocktail hour and the reception!

CAN I BRING A DATE?

If your invitation reads "and Guest", please feel free to bring a date! If not, we kindly ask that you join us solo.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

Although we love your little ones, we kindly request no kids under the age of 10.

We recommend out-of-town guests stay in Dalton or Ellijay, neighboring cities within 30 minutes of Chatsworth. For those wanting to make more of a weekend out of the trip, Chattanooga, TN is just about an hour from Chatsworth as well!
