Are my kids welcome?
Kids- we love them! They are welcome. In the RSVP section please indicate if they will need a high-chair. If they are under the age of 2 it is assumed they will share food with their parents and won't get their own plate. If you want to leave them in the hotel room and party like adults that's ok too!
COVID
It's out there and probably still will be by wedding day. We will not ask your vaccine status or require masks at any official wedding events. Nevada currently does not require masks or proof of vaccine to enter any off site buildings but that could always change. We encourage you to be vaccinated because Sam is a doctor and we like science and love you! But, that is ultimately your choice and we won't ask. If you are sick, use common sense and don't spread it to others!
I'm coming from sea level, will I be able to breath in the mountains?
Yes! Hopefully, and if not there will be plenty of doctors around. You might even get real lucky and find a good one! However, those of you that have not been to altitude before will notice we are at about 6,000 ft. This means that one beer will feel like three beers. (Sam is a wilderness medicine doctor). Enjoy accordingly!
Is there a room block at the hotel?
Sure is! At a discount, because we love you. Pop over to the travel page for more info!
But what do I wear?!
Clothes, generally! Dress is formal but fun! Lake Tahoe in October is hard to predict. The ceremony is outside on the beach in the sand. The reception and dancing is inside right off the beach. It could be 70 degrees, it could be 40 degrees. We would recommend bringing at least one jacket to Reno. There will be fire pits outside if you have danced hard enough to get sweaty and need a break. Generally, look sharp, be comfortable!
