Whether it was on lunch breaks on the worksite, or in the back of the van, Sam and Abby discussed everything known to man while in Maputo, Mozambique.

Abby worked on everything photography for the trip...

... while Sam mostly worked on cement,

...and John was not supervising whatsoever.

Abby started as a freshman at BYU while her family settled into American life in Washington, DC

They dated long-distance through the COVID-19 pandemic,

Sam started his freshman semester at BYU in Fall 2020, meaning that Abby and Sam could finally be together in person

They submitted their LDS mission papers in the Spring of 2021.

Sœur Hall served in St. George, Utah and Tahiti, French Polynesia, from June 2021-December 2022.

Elder Jafek served in Tacoma, Washington, and San Diego, California from October 2021-August 2023.

Abby came down to San Diego for Sam's last week as a service missionary, and they served together at his various service locations, catching up on the previous two years since they had seen each other.

They started classes at BYU in the Fall of 2023 as juniors.

They (finally) got engaged!

They were sealed in the Los Angeles, California Temple for time and eternity.
