COVID-19 Update

As we all adapt to an uncertain time with COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are monitoring the news carefully. The safety of our guests is our utmost priority. With the reality of the curve increasing and many of our wedding guests and Sam returning to the traditional school environment we have decided to postpone our reception. No one is more disappointed than us. We were really looking forward to celebrating with all of you&nbsp;on September 19, 2020&nbsp;however we will have to delay our celebration until it’s safe for all of us to be together again.

Sam had recently moved to Appleton and was looking for recommendations of things to do in the Fox Valley Area so she downloaded Tinder. Within a few days a cute farmer with Packer season tickets caught her eye.&nbsp; Born and raised in Wrightstown, Mason had more than a few recommendations for the new girl in town to have a good time, including meeting up for a few craft beers. After the first date, where drinks turned into dinner she was pretty sure Mason had more to offer than restaurants and tickets to Packer games. &nbsp; &nbsp; Dates of dinner, mini golfing, and youth football followed which set the tone for future craft beer dinners and sporting events. Sam knew it was serious when she took Mason to her family cottage in Waupaca where Mason soon fell in love with the magic of Camp Cleghorn, where Sam’s parents met and spent their summers together. Mason knew it was serious when he decided it was time to go shopping for a good shirt and tie, that she of course picked out. Proposal :&nbsp;Mason proposed with his maternal grandmother's engagement ring after a weekend with friends. Sam wondered why he was brushing his teeth at 8:00 pm but rolled with it as they ate dinner sitting on the couch watching Pretty Woman, but was totally shocked as he dropped down to a knee and asked to spend the rest of their lives together.&nbsp; Sam responded perfectly by asking to pause the movie and to ask it again. &nbsp; Wedding:&nbsp;We decided to get married in Mason’s childhood church, St. Clare’s, and celebrate the wedding on what was once Mason’s maternal grandparents farm land and has become a favorite dinner place for the couple, Royal St. Patrick’s Golf Links.&nbsp;

Cousin to Groom. Growing up playing at at the farm house here at Royal St Pats, thee two have been calling each other “GUY!” since their youths. Many a Packer games, campfires and beers between these guys.

Visit the Packers Hall of Fame&nbsp;located on the main floor of the Lambeau Field Atrium, across from&nbsp;<a href="https://www.1919kitchenandtap.com/">1919 Kitchen & Tap</a>. A tribute to the greatest story in sports, the facility uses the latest technology, enhanced interactive displays and a treasure trove of artifacts to educate and inspire visitors about the rich history of the Packers, as well as the teams of today.

Guests are able to see Packers legends describe historic games in their own words, and can scroll through touch screens to click on audio segments and game video clips that tell the team's story. The Hall of Fame also displays trophies from the Packers’ 13 world championships, including four Lombardi trophies, as well as the hall's most popular exhibit: a replica of Vince Lombardi's office. The exciting and historical galleries appeal to visitors of all ages.

Check out the Packer Pro Shop! It is&nbsp;not only a shopping destination, but also a Packers experience. Two entrances welcome visitors, one with a six-foot scaled replica gameday helmet, the other with a 50-foot replica Lombardi Trophy. Inside, thousands of Packers items await, from clothing to special, unique items. The experience includes other iconic elements, a wall of video monitors, huge jerseys and hats sections, among the unique design features.

STADIUM TOURS&nbsp;Learn all about the incredible history of the Green Bay Packers and Lambeau Field on a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.packers.com/lambeau-field/stadium-tours">stadium tour</a>. You'll even walk through the team tunnel on the same concrete that every Packers player has walked on since Lombardi's teams took the field. Tours are first-come, first-served by day.

Lambeau Field

Consisting of over 1,000 acres of lands, High Cliff State Park is the only state-owned recreational area that has access to Lake Winnebago. There are numerous trails within the park where visitors can go hiking, biking, and horseback riding in the summer and snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing in the winter. One of the more popular trails is the limestone-surfaced Indian Mound Trail that is over six miles long. Other activities offered at the park include swimming, fishing, boating, camping, picnicking, and hunting in certain areas. Visitors will also be able to explore the effigy mounds called High Cliff Mounds, which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

High Cliff State Park

The Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve has been teaching people about environmental ethics, appreciation of nature, conservation, and overall wellness for over forty-five years. With an array of educational programs and recreational activities, the non-profit organization has managed to make environmental preservation a fun topic for the entire family. The preserve has over 775 acres, and visitors will be able to walk, hike, or jog through the 8-mile trail system and see various flora and fauna. There are many programs for the entire family; some of the more popular ones include Cross Country Skiing for adults, GPS and Geocaching for grade 4 students and older, and Birds and Beaks, where elementary school students explore the preserve with binoculars to discover an array of birds in their natural habitat.

Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve

The Downtown Appleton Farmer’s Market has been serving the community for over twenty-five years. Every summer from June to October, locals and visitors flock to College Avenue where they find four blocks of delicious foods, handcrafted goods, and family-friendly live entertainment. Visitors who are looking to take back a little piece of Appleton with them will definitely find something at the vendor stalls. Popular items include locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, cured meats, bread and baked goods, specialty foods, and of course, the delicious cheeses that Wisconsin is known for. There are also numerous vendors selling handcrafted goods such as jewelry and ornaments.

​The Downtown Appleton Farmer’s Market

<a href="https://www.titletown.com/about/galleries">Titletown’s park</a> is open to everyone, with an ice skating rink and tubing lanes down Ariens Hill in the winter, a full-size football field, a unique playground and plenty of outdoor games and fitness activities, all in the heart of the action. Future development includes retail, commercial and residential elements.
