One fine day Pirate Jake and Mermaid Sam met on a humble website called Bumble. We were both going to give up on the dating sites, thought hell why not one more try. Here goes our story: One starry night Pirate Jake came across Mermaid Sam’s profile and thought, “My word she is a red headed mermaid” and that siren song appeared in his head as he hit like. Mermaid Sam got notification of this like and saw this crazy red bearded pirate and thought, “Oh what a hunk!” She messaged him right away. Jake started asking many weird questions and Sam responded to said weird questions. She then went on vacation and Jake thought he was being ghosted. At last the mermaid responded! A date was then arranged, a breakfast one at that! Sam thought this was a lame attempt, turns out she was wrong because Jake HATES the mornings. It was a blissful summer of weekend dates.

We went on our first camping trip which allowed Jake to see what an expert camper Sam is, and that she can manage his panic attacks.

Our first fall together is when Sam met Maggie and Cooper. It was at this time that Jake knew Sam was the one for him. Sam instantly fell in love with Maggie and Cooper. The four of them soon became a family.

Nearly a year after their first date Pirate Jake KNEW he needed to catch Sam. And, so this enters the proposal. It was a dorky nervous and sweet proposal. Mermaid Sam said Yes, Ofcourse.

They decided on a long engagement because Jake and the kids moved up to Auburn to all live together.
