If you were to ask Sam how we met he would say something like “farmersonly.com, she was looking for a farmer and found me”, but jokes on him because he didn't find his farm girl either. But in all reality, our first meeting was at Lure Lakebar where Sam not only felt love at first sight but also told his parents “Hannah talks too much” when his parents asked how the date went. But jokes aside, we hit it off right away. Instantly spending most of our free time together. Both being active people we spent many weekends on the lake, at the races in Alex, having Sunday funday as Sam calls it, at Sams golf league or Hannahs volleyball league, going on dates walking to the Dairy Queen down the road, and going on a couple camping trips to top it all off. Toward the beginning of our relationship, Sam had bought a camper that we renovated, all because I was threatening tent camping and Sam wasn't interested in that, haha. But we had no idea how much work would need to be put into the camper. At one point Sam's grandma Joan told us if we can get through a renovation together then it's meant to be. And, well here we are, getting married! But in all, I could go on and on about how our relationship started and how we have discussed how crazy it is that we have gone all these years constantly being in close proximity and frequenting the same places without bumping into one another. As the Gen Z’ers refer to the invisible string theory that states there is an unbreakable invisible string entangling people together that are destined to meet at the right time, or more notably in the bible book of Isaiah chapter 60 verse 22 “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen”. The Lord brought us together when the time was right for both of us. When we met with Father Dan to start wedding prep he asked us both if there was a moment we both “knew”. A question neither of us had asked each other, but we both had similar answers, and that being within the first couple of dates. That said, Sam asked me to marry him on Christmas day with both of our families in attendance. Starting our own Christmas traditions of having a joint family Christmas, the Millers joined the Needhams at their house where Sam had set up a beautiful Christmas scenery outside with his dad (Scott), claiming the scene was for his mom (Jenny) to be able to see when reading on the porch. And, also going as far as having a fake present wrapped under the tree to throw Hannah off. After a full day of food and games, as the sun was setting, Sam and Hannah both went outside to take pictures in the snow. Where Sam knelt down to turn on the tree lights and then turned and popped the question. Where I, in shock, not only said yes, but also stated “I thought we were getting a dog”. Getting a chuckle out of everyone. For those who know us well, we had been talking at this point about getting a dog for a while. But first things first, engagement! But as Hannah would have it, the dog came soon after😉 We cannot thank everyone enough for your support, especially our family who helped make our engagement special. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you!
