Sam was born to Dana and Anthony Spinler in Houston Texas. Jaron and Shanie are his younger siblings.

Erikah was born in Sacramento, California exactly a year later. (Yes, they have the same birthday!!!) Her family moved to North Idaho when she was 7.

Both grew up loving the outdoors. Sam is an Eagle Scout and Erikah and her younger siblings, Luke, Karissa and Hope, romped around the Idaho woods to their hearts content.

The pair met at Mount Hermon in Fall of 2023. Erikah was quickly won over by Sam's charm and carefree goffy spirit. They found themselves drawn to each other, often worked project days together and became fast friends. Erikah would enthusiastically listen to Sam's stories, much to his delight and surprise.

Over Christmas break they realized that the only thing missing from their respective Christmas' was eachother. He asked her to be his girlfriend on January 7th, 2024 after picking her up from the airport and before ever going on a date.

They both worked at Mount Hermon Adventures until Sam got a job across the state in the Fall of 2024 and they went from neightbors to long distance.

Christmas 2024 was truly specail because they brought eachother home for Christmas and became even more a part of each others families.

Sam purposed to Erikah on January 4th, 2025 by the ocean in Santa Cruz, California and she enthusatically said yes!

They are now planning on settling down in the North Idaho/Spokane Area after they get married and Sam graduates from lineman school in early June.
