In the summer of 2022, Bea and Sam met at St. Lawrence Church in Minneapolis, and they later started dating that same summer. Sam found Bea's adventurous and outgoing nature exciting, and Bea thought Sam was a kind and thoughtful gentleman. They both enjoy going for walks in nature, trying new food, or experiencing new cultures. After some time dating, they discovered that they saw eye-to-eye on many things and had a wide range of shared values.

In 2023, the universe threw a wrench into the relationship when Sam got deployment orders for 2024. Sam and Bea insisted that they would get through it and got engaged on a trip to see some of Bea's family in Spain later in 2023. The relationship endured nearly a year of separation while Sam was deployed, a testament to their commitment to each other.

Sam and Bea are so excited to finally get married on June 7th of 2025.
