From best friends to life partners, we can’t wait to say I do
Main Street is visited by ghosts and goblins of all ages during this popular event. Enjoy tricks and treats, along with live music.
Just imagine over 3800 feet of gravity-powered thrills through the magnificent Appalachian Mountains! This mountain coaster is the longest in North Carolina, boasting 360 degree turns and gorgeous views that you enjoy at your own speed.
This was honestly so fun and would definitely do again!
The Vineyard is the perfect setting to spend the day for a wine tasting with a full bar. Sitting at an elevation of almost 4,000 feet, High Holly features a tasting room, wine cellar, luxury cottages and historical homes, community area, market, walking trails, pond and so much more!
Highly recommend checking this out for wine and live music. (Fun fact this was almost our wedding venue).
Anchoring Highlands’ charming Main Street, Old Edward’s Inn is the perfect setting for a few days of lingering over delicious meals, unwinding at the spa, playing golf with spectacular mountain views, and sipping cocktails at the bar! This spa is amazing and we highly recommend the cocktail lounges.
We stayed here a few years back, but you can also check out all it has to offer even if you aren’t renting a cabin.
A STUNNING waterfall that crosses the NC and SC state borders. A short hike for a spectacular view.
Five stars from us!
This 75-ft. tall waterfall in the Nantahala National Forest flows over a cliff, allowing you to walk behind the falls and stay dry (hence the name).
We went during winter when it was mostly frozen so you could not walk under it, but we will be back to see in the Fall!
Rent a boat on Lake Glenville! At 1470 acres with glistening sand beaches, and three waterfalls that can only be seen from the lake, this is the perfect spot to escape. Whether you want to cruise the lake and relax, or speed things up and do some watersports, Signal Ridge Marina has everything you’ll need to take in this mountain treasure!
We’ll definitely be doing this over the wedding weekend!
This is a 60 foot waterfall that is easily accessible from the roadside if you are not interested in hiking! It is one of the most photographed waterfalls in the state and opens up into a beautiful swimming hole.
We did our engagement shoot here and it was gorgeous!
Rainbow Falls is exceptionally beautiful. This enormous waterfall tumbles down a towering, near-vertical cliff in the Nantahala National Forest near Gorges State Park. Framed by a lush forest and a steep, wildflower-covered meadow, the waterfall tumbles into a deep pool littered with giant boulders.
What's a more iconic symbol of autumn in North Carolina than the beautiful foliage of the Blue Ridge Mountain? Enjoy the endless miles as you take in the scenic view offers at every turn of the road.
