On August 11th 2023, Sam showed up to Andare Crossfit for the first time. As Zach walked into Andare, a bunch of his mom friends came over to tell him about a new girl that joined the gym. They told him that "she is a teacher, she loves kids, and she would be perfect for him". In order to gain her attention, Zach started playing with the kids at the gym. This immediately sparked her attention as she thought that he was such a good dad. She thought to herself "I want to marry someone like that one day". Then, on August 14th (as Sam died post workout), Zach came over to introduce himself. Zach gave her a fist bump and said "Good job" and then he said "I'm Zach by the way". But Sam heard "welcome back by the way" and said "thanks" until her brain finally registered his introduction. After that they didn't cross paths at the gym again so Zach added Sam on Facebook and messaged her asking how she was liking the new gym. 16 days later...Sam finally answered him back. On September 15th they went on their first date to the boardwalk for a walk and then Hoffman's Ice Cream. After politely texting Sam for two days Zach got the vibe that Sam wasn't 'into' it so he stopped texting her. But two days later Sam decided to text him and...the rest is history!

On Christmas Eve 2024, Zach proposed to Sam on the Heffelfinger Farm. And on October 11th 2025, they will get married in the exact same place!
