For those of you that know Luke, you know he has had a long career working in hundreds of nightclubs around the world.

It is probably no big surprise to those of you that know Luke , and with how much time he spent working, that he met his soon to be wife at one....

For those that know Sam, this is probably the funniest and least predictable place to not only find her but to start her love story.

In May 2018, Sam and Luke were introduced by a mutual friend [Thanks, Joe!]

Joe and Sam met during college at DePaul University in Chicago.

A few years after graduating Joe landed a huge career opportunity to be the Lighting Designer for Kygo, a world renowned DJ.

Through this opportunity, Joe met Luke who had spent the previous 4 years touring with Kygo, going from 400 capacity venues in Europe to sold out arena tours in the USA.

Along with the arena tour, Kygo also had a residency at XS in Las Vegas.

Usually Joe would not attend the shows in Las Vegas, however on this occasion he was present for a big festival the following day.

At the time Sam was working for The Beatles Love, where she was working 4pm-midnight. Kygo went on at 1am, and Sam was elated to support her college friend that she hadn't seen in years by seeing his show.

Sam found herself going to a nightclub alone... [Totally sounds in her character, right?]

Although at the time it may have seemed like a normal shift for Luke; For Sam it was a really special night. She got to stand in the tech booth with her college friend and the VJ (aka a Visual Artist aka Luke Hammonds) and watch them put on an awesome show. She got to kick off her heels, drink free beer, catch up with an old friend and see a night club in a way she had never before.

A few days later, Sam received a message from Luke saying he was moving to Vegas and wanted to know more about living here in Las Vegas and what to do.

Sam responded, "Any friend of Joe's is a friend of mine" and from there they hit it off.

Luke was still touring before moving to Vegas in the fall.

Within weeks they were chatting non-stop, even having a 5 hour phone conversation where Luke stayed on the call after Sam got off work at midnight, to make sure she stayed awake for her 6am photoshoot the next morning. (In this case the English time change really gave him points.)

They will never forget how natural it was to open up and how easy it was to talk to one another as if they've known each other for years.

They finally got the chance to go on a proper first date several months later in September when Luke was back in town. Unfortunately, he went right back on tour to Asia a few days later for another month.

Luke moved to Vegas in October 2018 and the rest is history.

4 years, a global pandemic, hundreds of tacos, a dog, countless Monopoly disagreements, nearly every season of Survivor, and a ton of Marvel movies later they are ready to tie the knot and are thrilled to have you join them!
