Samantha & Jordan

July 19, 2025 • Ingersoll, ON, CA

How it all began...

Jordan and Sam met on Bumble on September 4th, 2022 and spent two weeks getting to know each other before meeting in person. Sam and Jordan learned a lot about each such as schooling, careers, families, and the path that life has took them on so far. Both Sam and Jordan immediately bonded over many different topics such as their love for food, dogs, the outdoors, and how important their families are.

On September 16th, 2022 Jordan worked up the courage to ask Sam on a date to go out for supper together in Woodstock. The date lasted for over 6 hours and it was obvious that neither of them wanted it to end. Immediately it was clear that this relationship would be something special. Jordan says he knew Sam was the one from their first date together. On September 23rd, 2022 Jordan took Sam to Southside Park in Woodstock for their second date. Jordan had planned a picnic together in the park that included wine, treats, a homemade charcuterie board and lots of smiles and laughs together. Sam says she knew Jordan was the one after this date together.

The bond between Jordan and Sam had quickly grew stronger as they learned more about each other and the type of life they envisioned living. Both lives sounded incredibly similar. Owning a home, building a family together, and always being each other’s biggest supporter. From there they went on to meet each others family, saying “I love you” for the first time, as well as celebrating holidays together such as Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas with their loved ones. Jordan and Sam continued to fall more and more in love with each other as they were welcomed into each other’s family.

Their first trip together was Jordan’s favourite thing in the world…Camping. Jordan and Sam traveled to Pinery Provincial Park in Grand Bend for a week where Jordan was able to share his love for camping with the girl he was falling more and more in love with. Sam discovered that despite growing up as a city girl, she also enjoyed camping and it quickly became something the two of them wanted to do more of together. In the September of 2023 they travelled to Jordans favourite place in the entire world, Bon Echo Provincial Park, and camped there for a week, enjoying the cold nights by the fire and sunny mornings with coffee walks. Despite Sam not knowing it yet, by the end of the trip Jordan had thought of plans to return the following year and propose in the park.

Fast forward to June of 2024, Jordan and Sam planned to return to Bon Echo for another 10 day trip filled with good times and happy memories in their now shared favourite place. Little did Sam know, this trip was going to be a little different than previous trips with some extra cargo coming along for the ride…Sam’s engagement ring. If only she knew she was within arms reach of the ring for the entire drive. Jordan’s blood pressure had never been higher as he anxiously waited to propose to Sam. It was Jordan’s plan to propose to Sam during their first walk to their favourite sitting spot in the world….The Narrows. Unfortunately Mother Nature had something else planned and instead, it rained for the first two days of the trip with Sam starting to wondering why Jordan was going into the truck to do a “perimeter check” every 20 minutes when really he was making sure her engagement ring was still okay.

On June 24th, 2024, Jordan and Sam walked down to The Narrows on the most beautiful and sunny day of the entire trip. They had the entire area to themselves and Jordan proposed once he could get his phone at the right camera angle. Sam, mesmerized by the area, had no idea until it was happening. It truly couldn’t have worked out any better. Joy and happiness overtook both Jordan and Sam for the reminder of the trip that no amount of rain could change. Both families were waiting for “the call” after the question had been popped and were overjoyed after hearing the good news….and that they didn’t have to keep the secret any longer. It was the trip of a lifetime that Jordan and Sam will remember forever.

After a few months of wedding planning and picking their venue, Jordan and Sam decided that it was time to plant their roots together as a couple, ultimately buying a home in Aylmer where they got to spend their first Christmas together as happily engaged home owners. Jordan and Sam continued wedding planning for the next few months and are thrilled to spend their big day together in front of all their closest friends and family.
