We first met on the internet all of my photos being with long gangly hair and conversed back and forth for about a week before deciding to meet up for the first time. Sam later told me that she honestly didn’t know if we would ever meet because she didn’t think she had the aesthetic I would be looking for. But Sam being as diligent as she is looked up my address and the surrounding areas to make sure it was safe. Upon noticing I was close to some small ponds she sends me a semi joking semi serious text “hey I’m on my way over please don’t murder me and throw me in the pond by your apartment”. It set a nice tone for the evening to say the least. But upon her arrival she parked a few units down from mine so I walk out to greet / meet her for the first time. As I made my way down the sidewalk I could see a small beautiful woman with dark hair dancing like a fairy under the street light. Not a care in the world. As I approached I call out to her asking if not only was she real but to make sure she sees me coming and I don’t get maced. I say “hey are you Samantha”? To which she replies “I’m meeting someone” not even looking up at me. Lol I tell her that someone is in fact me and the twirly dance stops immediately. As she turns around her amazing brown eyes sparkling she says to me “what happened to your hair!?” To which I had just buzzed it all off a day or two prior. This is important because to this day she still says I kittycatfished her. And it’s been love ever since.
Neither of us was looking for love when we met. We were both just hoping to pass time as I was planning on moving back to Saint Louis two months after I met her, everything planned and getting ready to go and her not really looking for anything because of Bug. Well I felt such a strong pull to her that I cancelled plans to move back because I couldn’t leave her and knew in my heart that she was supposed to come back to Missouri with me. And she agreed. So after Bug Graduated school we made the plan to move back together. We had a fun little adventure in Cali along the way. But ultimately we made it home to Missouri.
Our proposal was short and sweet just as I had wanted it to be. We had been talking about getting married for ages. I kept joking that he didn’t actually want to but he kept saying “oh you wait!”.
Well he had picked a ring and was planning on proposing on New Year’s Eve. When we do our confetti just the three of us and our pets, but in true Logan fashion he couldn’t wait. The day he was able to get the ring he came home and was so excited and giddy. I was finishing up with work after a long day of issues because the holidays were coming up. He comes over to me and moves my laptop/keyboard from my lap. He gets down on one knee and says “I can’t wait! Will you make me the happiest man and be my wife and marry me?!” He looked so nervous but hopeful and I couldn’t help but say yes! It was perfect just us.
