We are in Boulder county, land of outdoor adventures. There are hundreds of trails ranging from easy to hard in the Boulder area (Chataqua and Flagstaff Mountain are some of the more well known areas). These trails are primarily used for hiking but some are multipurpose for mountain biking as well. We also have suggestions for a plethora of trails about 30 minutes to an hour outside of Boulder for mountain biking. There are a handful of bouldering and sport climbing areas in the Boulder area. You are able to rent bikes and climbing equipment at various locations across the city. Please contact us for more info on exact names of trails, climbing areas, and where to find equipment rentals.
There are gorgeous aspens that should be in their prime during this time granted there isn't an early season snowfall. For a nice leaf peeping drive you can take Peak to Peak highway (119) starting from Lyons going all the way to Coal Creek Canyon and back down into Boulder. For leaf peeping hikes there are multiple in Nederland and a handful in Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
There are various galleries and art related experiences in the city. One of them is the whimsical immersive art experience of Meow Wolf, the Convergence Station Denver.
The Denver Art Museum is an amazing gallery with one main building and another building attached that is eight-stories filled with art and artifacts spanning time.
Santa Fe Art District is a whole street dedicated to smaller galleries and art collectives.
If you are wanting to see some street art, the RiNo Art District has a ton of incredible murals from artists worldwide, you can take the day to walk around and enjoy the art, some drinks, and great food.
