Sam and Addison first met when their paths crossed at a Saginaw Spirit hockey game on October 26th, 2019. We were in attendance supporting a Breast Cancer Awareness night and happened to meet while running into some mutual friends at the game. Addison demonstrated that chivalry is, in fact, not dead by rescuing Sam from an unwelcome suitor which led to her agreeing to share a couple of drinks at a local watering hole. However, Sam decided to play "hard to get" for a while and dodged Addison's calls and texts for a couple of months. One day, she had finally had enough of his persistence and agreed to a dinner date in Midland where our love for each other first began.

After keeping Sam waiting for several years and missing out on multiple special opportunities, Addison finally found the courage to ask Sam to marry him on May 20th, 2023. Addison had to convince Sam to go out for dinner at Real Seafood in Bay City that night when Sam really just felt like staying in for a nice quiet evening. After dinner, Addison asked Sam if she wanted to take a walk down to the river to check out the boat docks in case we ever wanted to stop in when taking the boat out for an evening cruise. After getting down on one knee and asking Sam, she said yes!

We moved two years ago to our house in Saginaw with our cat "Billy" who is more of a dog/baby than a cat. In our spare time together we enjoy taking care of Billy, playing golf, fishing, hiking, camping, a good bonfire, and generally anything else outdoors. We like to travel and have enjoyed many great trips over the years to places like Sedona, Cancun, Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, among many others. And we are still looking forward to taking many more!
