Everyone that knows us knows that we have done everything backwards, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

We met at our friend Sarahs house, then Josh wound up being her roommate when she moved out of her parents, she was my best friend at the time so Josh and I were together often. Back then the denial of "our" feelings was very strong (Josh), so we decided to just be friends.

Lo and behold the universe had other plans. I found out I was pregnant. I was very adamant the entire time that I didn't want him to feel like we had to be together just because we were having a kid now, but 9 months later everything changed. We were blessed with Eoin, and the time we spent together in the coming week as parents changed us, and the way we saw each other. We decided to give being together a shot. He moved into my dads with Eoin and me, and we grew as parents and a couple together.

Josh tricked me into saying I love you first. We were house sitting for my sister, in the summer with no AC and I told him I'd love him forever if he went to get a fan from the other room, after retrieving it he stopped and said "I'm waiting" (it was honestly emotional blackmail and we all know it) I told him I love him, and haven't stopped.

He tells me the moment he knew I might be the one was when we were driving somewhere and he said something mean, and instead of getting upset I just fired back and completely destroyed him. We might not be conventional, and our personalities strange but it works for us, we love to bully each other (I'm better at it), but I think it only brings us closer because he really is my best friend and we can talk to each other both like best friends and a couple.

Our next big milestone was buying our first house. It quickly became home, and it might be messy always, but it is filled with so much love and laughter. From riling up the dogs together, or having nerf gun fights with Eoin, to just existing in our own worlds but side by side for a bit. We're complete opposites in so many ways, but we know that and understand each other. We've learned each other's strengths and weaknesses, and we know we don't have to change the other but step in where the other struggles. We accept that neither of us is perfect, but together we're unstoppable.

Now we're here, ready to share this next milestone with all of you and we couldn't be more excited.
