Samantha & Andrew grew up down the block from one another on Smith Street. Their paths crossed often as Andrew played soccer with her brother Ryan. Although Andrew's version of their initial attraction would make for a cute story, Samantha in fact did not have her eyes set on #3. Andrew likes to think Samantha was watching him play soccer for years, but she was actually having fun on the playground or at her own soccer games.

Fast forward a few years, Andrew became a Nassau County Cop in the second precinct and Samantha just started her nursing career at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, both working the night shift. While patrolling the neighborhood Andrew would see her parents walking the dog. Thanks to Dawn’s twenty-one questions asking about adjustments to work the night shift, Andrew messaged Samantha. Like her mother, Samantha was now asking him all the questions which turned into many messages and phone calls between the two.

A true friendship was formed, and Samantha & Andrew went from “just neighbors” to “just friends”. Their friendship was long-lasting until Andrew’s mom Barbara decided to make it official introducing Samantha as Andrews girlfriend. It seemed like everyone besides Samantha & Andrew acknowledged that they were actually in a relationship, and to this day the couple still has no official day that they started dating.

Unknown to Samantha, Andrew bought a ring and was planning to propose while on vacation in Lake George. On the last night of their trip, while waiting on the dock for fireworks, Andrew did everything Samantha asked him NOT to do (1) propose on vacation and (2) in front of people! Overjoyed and excited, Samantha of course said Yes! Samantha & Andrew returned home to celebrate their engagement with family and friends.

Samantha & Andrew cannot wait to celebrate with you all at their Wedding Ceremony & Reception in September so they can now say “we’re just married” and have an official date to remember forever!
