Our Wedding

Sami and Doug met through a mutual friend who invited Doug to Sami's 24th birthday party. They immediately hit it off at the party that night and Doug later asked her out on a date. Their first date was a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium where both Doug and Sami thought the other person wanted to leave the game early and call it a night. After leaving the game early and feeling a bit discouraged, Doug decided to reach back out to Sami and ask her out to dinner. The two went on a second date to McGurks and spent hours hanging out and having a good time. It was then, they found out both were having a great time at the baseball game too, and incorrectly assumed the other person was not having a good time. Following these two dates, the two continued to spend time together, including a trip back east to Doug's brother's wedding. Four years later on July 4th, 2020, Doug proposed to Sami at the St. Louis botanical gardens. They are very excited to celebrate this October with friends and family!

Union Station has a great atmosphere and is home to several great restaurants. There are a few activities in Union Station including the Ferris wheel and St. Louis Aquarium. In general, St. Louis has a lot of local restaurants, breweries, sports bars, and more all within a short distance of the hotel. It is a quick drive to the arch and baseball stadium downtown, as well as many parks located around the city. A little further out of the city are several wineries located along the Katy Trail.
