In the summer of 2021 these two lovebirds set off on an unexpected adventure.

Both members of the Air National Guard, Remy and Sami were deployed to the Middle East. Sami arrived a couple weeks after Remy did, and upon her arrival was immediately whisked away to a unit BBQ. There, a handsome airman asked her to be his corn-hole partner. The two destroyed any challenger who came their way!

As the months went on, the two became closer (Remy even sharing his stash of pickles, something he vowed never to do with someone else). To keep their relationship on the down-low, Remy and Sami would have secret rendezvous' in a nearby bunker, BB0103. There, after one too many Jordanian beers, Remy told her that he was "going to marry the sh** out of [her] one day." So romantic.

The two returned to their respective homes of Ohio and New Jersey. Most expected the distance to be the end of this whirlwind romance, but Remy was persistent. He put 32,000 miles on his brand new truck in all of his travels between states. Eventually, it came time for a decision- Ohio or New Jersey? In the end, Sami, despite having binge watched every episode of The Jersey Shore, took the leap and became a Jersey Girl.

Fast forward to October 21st, 2023. Thankfully Remy didn't have any college sports allegiances and so Sami was able to turn him into a Buckeye fan. The two hit the road with friends Hailey and Nick to attend the Ohio State/ Penn State game at the 'Shoe. Turns out everyone knew what was going to happen that day, except Sami. After a morning of frat parties, the group made their way to the stadium. It was while the team was hitting the field and during a fairly embarrassing photo shoot when Sami turned around to find Remy down on one knee. More surprises came in the form of an impromptu engagement party with Sami's friends from Ohio waiting for the couple after the game! It was a magical night, and not just because the Buckeyes beat the Nittany Lions.

That leads us all here. Reading a cheesy story on a pre-made wedding website. But the ending is nowhere in sight. And we are so excited to start the next chapter with you on January 25th.
