Our love story began on January 21st, 2022 when our profiles matched on Tinder and Luiz messaged Samantha for the very first time. Not knowing what to expect, he had messaged her “Hello Samantha 🙂” and waited for her to respond. When she saw the message pop up on her phone, Samantha’s gut feeling told her that she should take this opportunity to answer him back. The conversation seemed to just flow between us and we spent hours talking and getting to know each other. We messaged each other every single day since then. By our deep conversations, Luiz seemed so different from other people, in the best way possible. Samantha could tell that he was very wise beyond his years from the very start and this is what made her start to fall for him.

Luiz had asked Sam if she wanted to meet and get to know him more in person, and she was a little hesitant at first. She was afraid and didn’t want this date to end up not working out like others in the past. It’s funny how one seemingly insignificant decision can completely change the outcome of your life. Her heart told her not to focus on the past and to just go for it. What did she have to lose? She decided to tell him that she would love to meet him, and he was so surprised, yet so excited that she really wanted to. She started to feel so excited after that. We then planned to meet in person 5 days later. The day we met was a day we will both never forget. Samantha picked Lu up at his apartment and we decided to go out to eat at Chili’s. We were both shy and nervous at first, but as the night went on, we both opened up to each other like we’ve never done with anyone else before. There was an instant connection and we felt so comfortable with each other, like we’ve known each other our whole lives. This was just one of the many signs that we were meant to be together because a connection like that is so rare to find. Luckily, we both didn’t miss out on this once in a lifetime experience because we felt an immediate connection the night we met. Samantha’s first impression of Luiz was that he had the most genuine smile, was a true gentleman, and had a caring heart. Luiz’s first impression of Samantha was that she had a pure heart, an amazing smile, and a contagious laugh. We both made each other very happy the first time we were together.

In one short month, we truly became the best of friends and have shared so many wonderful memories together since then. We decided to make things official on February 13th, 2022 and the rest is history. The both of us were once broken individuals who had taken a huge risk on searching for something real with the right person, and it unexpectedly led us to each other. We have never been happier than we are right now. We’ve brought out the best qualities in each other. Even though we met each other in one of the most unconventional ways, that doesn’t mitigate the love that we have for one another.
