Our Wedding

The year is 2015 - One beautiful, sunny day in Buffalo New York, Samantha and Paul attended a UB College Football Tailgate, separately. Samantha was a freshman at the University at Buffalo, while Paul was in his graduating year. As Samantha was mingling with new friends acclimating to the college lifestyle, she spotted a boy, head to toe in blue with dark sunglasses on and holding a 12 pack of Bud Light. Samantha sought out an opportunity and took it - grabbing a beer from Paul’s hands asking the question “Do you know who I am?”. Paul replied, “No, why would I?”. Samantha remembered Paul from years ago where they both attended Camp Westmont, but never crossed paths. According to Samantha, Paul had a very ‘memorable personality’. While that conversation was short lived, their future together was not. The year was followed by fraternity parties and trips to Canada where Paul and Samantha got to know one another better. Paul, being the realist that he is, and Samantha, being the dreamer that she is, did not see eye to eye on where their relationship would go. Paul envisioned leaving Buffalo for good after graduating, while Samantha envisioned the exact opposite. Samantha ultimately got what she wanted, and Paul came to visit quite frequently for years. Buffalo now had two things luring Paul back: His love for Samantha and his equal love for Grover’s Bar and Grill. Once Samantha completed graduate school, she moved in with Paul in 2020. Eventually, Samantha somehow convinced (or told) Paul the news that they would be getting a dog. Samantha eased Paul’s worries of being a first time dog owner by telling him what his name would be… Grover. A fitting tribute to our favorite place. Grover is just a chapter of our love story and we can not wait to add much, much more. Thank you for reading!

Hilton Garden Inn Roslyn

For those who wish to stay at the hotel we have reserved a block of rooms. There will be shuttle service to and from the venue starting at 4:45pm on Friday August 9th. The shuttles will depart from Sea Cliff Manor at 11:15pm to take guests back to the hotel. We will be providing a brunch the following morning starting at 9:30-11:30am.   Thank you for booking and making the trip to celebrate with us!
