Samantha & Tristan

Believe it or not Sam and I met back in the nineteen hundreds. Sam’s dad and my dad were best friends. Whenever my dad would go to Russells house I would go with him because I knew there was a chance I would see Sam. At the age of 11 I felt somewhere inside of me that this was my girl, so I had to play it cool. One night Sam, Veronica and I were on Russell‘s back patio at the Mirandy house. Little Kenzie, she had to of been only four, comes walking out of the house and sprinkles fairy dust on Sam and I. She proceeds to tell us that we will one day be together and live happily ever after. Years go on and we see each other every once in a while during camping trips and random boat weekends. It was always a great time, but I couldn’t figure out how to hang out with her outside of our dads. I knew I had to get out of the friend zone. Each of us had relationships through out high school. Although, Sam probably never thought about me while with her boyfriend, no matter who I was with the only girl I wanted was Sam. I always told myself if I get a chance to be with her I have to take it, I don’t care who I was with or who she was with. My girlfriends were always intimidated by her. One day Sam invites me to bring the jet skis and hang out at Folsom lake before she leaves for Sonoma State. In my head I’m thinking it’s just the two of us, don’t mess this up. So as I am towing the JetSki’s I am feeling like the man. I get to Folsom Lake and not only get introduced to her friends but her boyfriend as well. The whole day was ruined for me. I felt that I would never have a chance with her. Another few months go by and I had just gotten to my mom‘s house in Valley Springs. I literally wasn’t there for even five minutes and my phone started to ring, lo and behold it’s my girl. She said they were going to a party in Sonoma and that I should come over. I didn’t even think twice. I looked at my mom and said sorry I gotta go, this is my shot. It was raining outside and I was on my street bike. Once I got there I stayed there for about two weeks and had the best time. It started a friendship and bond that could never be broken. I left Sonoma and although we still had no romantic moment, I was falling head over heels for this girl. We continued to hang out as just friends and I had accepted it. I ended up getting into a serious relationship and could no longer hang out with Sam as much. I had somewhat given up on the idea of us being together but little did I know Sam seeing me with another woman made her realize her true feelings for me. She finally came to her senses and we have been together ever since. We now have two kids and are building the life we always dreamed of together.
