Our Story 💕

We met in April of 2019. I had seen Cole on a couple of online dating apps and decided after the second time he seemed like someone I needed to meet. After we starting messaging we hit it off almost immediately. We both had come from very similar pasts and shared similar values so I agreed to go out with him shortly after. I did however almost not show up to our first date since it was raining and he picked a restaurant downtown (two bad combinations for me since I hate driving in bad weather and I hate driving downtown even more). Oh yeah, and there’s always that risk of meeting strange men online that you might not make it out alive. After some convincing from my mom and sisters I braved the storm, literally, and headed to Takaoka to meet him. As I walked in he greeted me with “Wow, you really are fun sized!” and the rest was history. We have been pretty inseparable after that. We are two old souls that would rather stay in and cuddle on the couch and love our families and our animals above anything else. Our wedding photographer sent us a little card in the mail that says “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” And I feel that could not describe us anymore perfectly. This past May we went to Hilton Head with my parents and my sister, Annie, where Cole completely surprised me and purposed to me on the beach as we watched the most beautiful sunrise. I will never forget the look on his face as he got down on one knee, held the ring up for me to see and just smiled at me for what seemed like eternity while forgetting to actually ask me in words to marry him (he says that’s not true, he was just taking in the moment, so we will go with that 😉). Little did I know Annie and my mom were hiding down the beach taking pictures of it all. It was such a special day and quickly made Hilton Head one of our favorite places. We are so excited to have you join us in the town where he proposed for our wedding and cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
