It was almost 8 years ago, we worked in the same building. I was a smoker at the time and we had the same break schedule. It was obvious he was not a smoker but would hang out in the smoker section, always near to wherever I was. We had frequent indirect eye contact. One day he finally engaged me in conversation. He asked me if he could bum a cigarette.

You know it's going to be something special when the guy is willing to put his health at risk for a first date with you. And the rest is history, as we move on to the next chapters of our lives together.

She was loud and talked fast. Yet, I was intrigued. I knew if I could just get a first date, she would fall madly in love with me. So I pretended to be a smoker and one day asked her if I could bum a cigarette. It sure did work though! And the rest is history, as we move on to the next chapters of our lives.
