Our Wedding

William&nbsp;was&nbsp;deployed&nbsp;in&nbsp;Afghanistan&nbsp;while&nbsp;serving&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;United&nbsp;States&nbsp;Marine&nbsp;Corps,&nbsp;Samantha&nbsp;messaged&nbsp;him&nbsp;on&nbsp;Facebook&nbsp;to&nbsp;wish&nbsp;him&nbsp;well&nbsp;March&nbsp;11th,&nbsp;2014.&nbsp;She&nbsp;knew&nbsp;him&nbsp;through&nbsp;a&nbsp;mutual&nbsp;friend,&nbsp;and&nbsp;thought&nbsp;a&nbsp;Facebook&nbsp;message&nbsp;would&nbsp;be&nbsp;less&nbsp;formal&nbsp;than&nbsp;a&nbsp;written&nbsp;letter,&nbsp;since&nbsp;Samantha&nbsp;and&nbsp;William&nbsp;haven't&nbsp;met&nbsp;before.&nbsp;Samantha's&nbsp;grandmother&nbsp;taught&nbsp;her&nbsp;to&nbsp;always&nbsp;respect&nbsp;our&nbsp;country's&nbsp;military,&nbsp;so&nbsp;she&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;reach&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;say&nbsp;"thank&nbsp;you&nbsp;for&nbsp;your&nbsp;service"&nbsp;and&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;safe.&nbsp;William&nbsp;replied&nbsp;right&nbsp;away,&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;talking&nbsp;every&nbsp;day&nbsp;since.&nbsp;Upon&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;time&nbsp;meeting,&nbsp;they&nbsp;hit&nbsp;it&nbsp;off&nbsp;and&nbsp;William&nbsp;asked&nbsp;her&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;his&nbsp;girl&nbsp;on&nbsp;May&nbsp;16th,&nbsp;2014.&nbsp;They&nbsp;continued&nbsp;a&nbsp;long&nbsp;distance&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;since&nbsp;he&nbsp;was&nbsp;stationed&nbsp;in&nbsp;California&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;lived&nbsp;in&nbsp;New&nbsp;Jersey.&nbsp;The&nbsp;two&nbsp;tried&nbsp;to&nbsp;squeeze&nbsp;in&nbsp;as&nbsp;many&nbsp;trips&nbsp;as&nbsp;possible.&nbsp;Several&nbsp;flights&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;California,&nbsp;pre&nbsp;and&nbsp;post&nbsp;deployment&nbsp;leave&nbsp;back&nbsp;home&nbsp;to&nbsp;Jersey,&nbsp;ski&nbsp;trips&nbsp;to&nbsp;Vermont,&nbsp;as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;USMC&nbsp;ball&nbsp;in&nbsp;Las&nbsp;Vegas.&nbsp;They&nbsp;have&nbsp;gone&nbsp;8&nbsp;months&nbsp;without&nbsp;seeing&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;due&nbsp;to&nbsp;another&nbsp;deployment&nbsp;in&nbsp;Kuwait&nbsp;and&nbsp;Iraq.&nbsp;Finally,&nbsp;after&nbsp;two&nbsp;long&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;long&nbsp;distance,&nbsp;William's&nbsp;military&nbsp;service&nbsp;was&nbsp;done&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;finally&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;each&nbsp;other.&nbsp;They&nbsp;learned&nbsp;communication&nbsp;and&nbsp;Skype&nbsp;are&nbsp;the&nbsp;best&nbsp;things.&nbsp;They&nbsp;share&nbsp;a&nbsp;love&nbsp;in&nbsp;travel.&nbsp;Trying&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;to&nbsp;many&nbsp;places&nbsp;as&nbsp;possible&nbsp;as&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;travel&nbsp;buddy.&nbsp;Chicago,&nbsp;Punta&nbsp;Gorda,&nbsp;FL,&nbsp;Rifle,&nbsp;CO,&nbsp;Paris&nbsp;IL&nbsp;trips&nbsp;(both&nbsp;by&nbsp;plane&nbsp;and&nbsp;driving),&nbsp;Pittsburg,&nbsp;Gettysburg,&nbsp;rides&nbsp;to&nbsp;Skyline&nbsp;Drive&nbsp;in&nbsp;Virginia,&nbsp;and&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;trip&nbsp;abroad&nbsp;to&nbsp;Aruba.&nbsp;Finally,&nbsp;on&nbsp;April&nbsp;8th,&nbsp;2018,&nbsp;William&nbsp;took&nbsp;Samantha&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;her&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;things,&nbsp;the&nbsp;cherry&nbsp;blossoms&nbsp;in&nbsp;Washington,&nbsp;DC.&nbsp;The&nbsp;timing&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;right&nbsp;when&nbsp;seeing&nbsp;the&nbsp;blossoms,&nbsp;so&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;best&nbsp;"Samantha&nbsp;and&nbsp;William"&nbsp;way&nbsp;possible,&nbsp;in&nbsp;their&nbsp;"spot"&nbsp;by&nbsp;a&nbsp;boat&nbsp;launch,&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;bed&nbsp;of&nbsp;his&nbsp;pickup&nbsp;truck,&nbsp;eating&nbsp;some&nbsp;TacoBell&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;way&nbsp;home&nbsp;from&nbsp;DC,&nbsp;William&nbsp;knelt&nbsp;down&nbsp;on&nbsp;one&nbsp;knee&nbsp;and&nbsp;asked&nbsp;Samatha&nbsp;for&nbsp;her&nbsp;hand&nbsp;in&nbsp;marriage.&nbsp;Now&nbsp;on&nbsp;their&nbsp;6th&nbsp;year&nbsp;anniversary,&nbsp;May&nbsp;16th,&nbsp;2020,&nbsp;they&nbsp;will&nbsp;become&nbsp;husband&nbsp;and&nbsp;wife&nbsp;and&nbsp;will&nbsp;continue&nbsp;their&nbsp;adventures&nbsp;together,&nbsp;&nbsp;but&nbsp;begin&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;exciting&nbsp;journey&nbsp;yet.&nbsp;To&nbsp;Mr.&nbsp;And&nbsp;Mrs.&nbsp;William&nbsp;Brown&nbsp;❤️
