17 Days To Go!

Our Story

So we met at a bar. And no, that’s not an excuse as if we’re afraid to say we met online or a cover story because Jordan put an ad out for a last minute wedding date (even though Sam was Jordan’s last minute wedding date once they started dating; more on that later). We somehow managed to make an old school connection in the digital age. Sam thought Jordan was funny. Jordan told Sam she’s cute. She joked she’d look even better with Jordan’s sunglasses on. So Jordan put them Sam and told her to keep them. Hollywood, we have your next rom-com idea.

You’d think that’s enough for you to get the gist but that doesn’t have any plot twists! And we all know Sam loves a good book. Jordan would spend the next several months asking Sam out on dates. To new restaurants in the area, a Golden Girls pop-up bar. The guy was really trying to get creative. “Oh sorry! I’m in Prague!” “I’m about to leave for Germany!” Jordan’s noticing a pattern. Maybe she’s Carmen San Diego. Maybe she’s just not that into him. So Jordan takes the hint. He moves on. But he kept seeing her Instagram photos of her in Prague and in Germany. And she was right. She did look even better with his sunglasses on.

After said months went by, Jordan would get invited to a club event where he’d have to bring friends to fill a section. Overwhelmed by this, he just started reaching out to whoever. People he’d just met, people he’d known for years and even people he hadn’t talked to in months (if you’re not following, we’re alluding to the fact that he invited Samantha. Please keep up. We’re almost at the fun part!). So in this mass-inviting spree Jordan was getting hit with rain checks left and right. The club is not going to like an empty with just 3 dudes. He might have to cancel *cue sad music* But you can probably guess who said she’s coming. Sam!

That last part got a little dramatic. It wasn’t just the two of them. About a good 11 or so people showed up. But after clubbing and bar -hopping around Chicago. Jordan decided the two would sneak away and not tell anyone. They played darts. Sam loves this part because she kicked Jordan’s ass. It was that night they shared their first kiss.

From there they’d bake cookies for the holidays, celebrate Sam’s birthday with her dad maybe a little sooner than she hoped and even ring in the new year. They’d go from wedding to wedding being the ideal invites at all their friends’ special days (that being said PLEASE DON’T INVITE US TO YOUR WEDDING. We are TIRED!). Jordan would then think to himself, you see so many wedding, the good, the bad. I think I can do this myself. So he gets a ring and creates a plan that involves Sam’s best friend and Sam’s cousin (who is also her best friend) and they’ll come up with a great plan.

...Then some wine happened and there Jordan is on one knee in their kitchen.

Now here we are writing this next chapter. And if you’ve made it this far, thank you. Because you get to be a part of the best one yet!
