Long story short, we made the best out of COVID-19.
Back in 2020, it all started in downtown Milford, Michigan at our favorite pizzeria. For those who don’t know, Joe was my newly hired boss at Jet’s Pizza. We worked side-by-side, from opening shift to close. Naturally, we quickly became close as teammates and then best-friends. Spending long days & late shifts together, it was easier knowing we had each other to work alongside.
Little did we know that five years later, we’d be calling the shots together.
In the past five years, we have grown exponentially. As individuals, as best friends, and now as life parters.
Starting our independent journey in Wixom, we had our first apartment where we learned how to coexist and welcomed Atlas, our first dog in our life. If you know us, you know our pets are considered family members.
Moving forward in our careers- as a carpenter and case manager, we moved into our first home in Farmington Hills. This next move had provided great insight into our relationship and future journey while renovation our house. I can guarantee you… neither of us will willingly sand & stain original 1949 wood flooring ever again. Along with the next step, we brought Aurora, our second dog into our mix.
Recently, we moved into our second & long-term home in Rose Township. This latest move was a large step for us - literally. From a small yard in the city, to a spacious home with land for our - now 3- German Shepherds to enjoy. Moving into our dream home was the first step to the rest of our lives together. From here, we have endless opportunities to grow and live while enjoying the quietness of our safe haven.
Five years from our official first date, we eloped on January 25th, 2025.
Having an intimate day to commemorate our love and dedication towards each other was incomparable. Spending intentional time alone on this day allowed us to focus on each other. We were able to experience the excitement and purity of our devotion, while honoring our biggest commitment to each other. We acknowledge family and friends were not there to share this event, but we assure you that we held everyone in our hearts.
Knowing that our families and friends have been instrumental aspects in our relationship, and now marriage, we are ecstatic to share our appreciation and love with everyone this upcoming May.
