His Perspective

Samantha and I first met during Mardi Gras one year when we were both still in high school. We were introduced by a mutual friend Hannah Cheramie, who is the fiancé of my best man, Brian Lawrence. Our first introduction was brief and wasn’t more than a hello. Fast forward a few years later when we were both in college and we ran into each other again in Tigerland where I asked Samantha for her number. After months of casually dating, I asked her to be my girlfriend. Although I received some hesitation at first, she eventually decided she would give me a shot.

We have been together for over 6 years now and have stuck by each other through all the highs and lows in life. We have been through more adversity as a young couple than most, but through it all we remain devoted to one another. I cannot wait to be her husband and spend the rest of my days with her as my wife! 


Her Perspective

The first time I met Trent was at Mardi Gras through our mutual friend Hannah and I remember texting Hannah after and saying He is cute. The response from him was that I was too young... I was 16 and he was 18. Fair enough. A few years went by and I saw Trent out in Tigerland at JL's for wine night. He asked for my number to make sure I got home safe. After I texted that I made it home, he asked how my calendar was looking because he wanted to take me on a date. To say I was blushing in my dorm room is an understatement. After dating for a while and a bit of push and pull on my part, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I remember Hannah telling me that Trent used to tell her and Brian (his best man) that he would call me his girl before we even started talking.... he will deny it, but I know the truth (:

Now that over 6 years has gone by, I am absolutely in love with him. We have been through a lot but through all of it my love for him only grew stronger and never wavered. He is kind, funny, strong, and most of all my best friend. I cannot wait to be his wife and to call him my husband!
