Sam and Dylan's love story began at The George Washington University in D.C. They met on campus when they serendipitously moved in a day early to beat the mad rush, a move that would inevitably change their lives forever. Sam and Dylan may not have known what was to come, but somehow, their Moms had a hunch. In classic Jewish Mom fashion, they were the ones who introduced them!

Sam and Dylan lived across the hall during Freshman year and became fast friends. While Dylan always secretly liked Sam more than friends, it wasn't until their Junior year that Sam realized Dylan—the "friend" from across the hall—was a total catch! And since nothing says love like surviving time apart, by the 2nd semester of that year, it was time to study abroad. Dylan decided to take a "small detour" en route to Shanghai and "conveniently" stop by to visit Sam in Paris. The courting for this American couple enhanced from afar, and after their semester away, Dylan asked Sam to be his girlfriend. Their relationship stayed fun and exciting even as they endured two years of long-distance dating. Love prevailed despite O'Hare airport delays, canceled flights, and hours spent on the phone with airlines.

Throughout their many travels around the world, adventure and fun always followed them. Whether it was dealing with a car breakdown in Iceland, eating in kimonos in Japan, or navigating the windy roads of Tuscany, they realized that as long as they were together, anyplace felt like home.

Their laughter and love only strengthened during their six years of dating. And after thousands of hours watching CNN, hundreds of pints of ice cream, eight months of quarantine during a global pandemic, several recipes cooked, lots of workout classes tried, and one Kobe Peach the Sheepadoodle adoption later, Dylan enthusiastically popped the question!
