Both Kyle and Samantha were going to a convention with their friends in Ocean City, Maryland. They shared mutual friends but did not know each other well at all. Kyle was determined on this trip he would get close to Sam. It didn't matter if he had to neglect the world around him as long as he was close to her. Samantha didn't exactly reciprocate right away, and kept thinking, "Who is this guy that will not leave us alone?" After a weekend of what you could call their first vacation together, Kyle and Samantha were completely inseparable. Since then, Samantha's family has fallen for Kyle just as she did, and Kyle's family welcomed Samantha with open arms.
