You know the saying you have been looking for something that has been there all along? We simply were just that!

Matt and Samantha grew up just a little over a mile away from each other. Went to the same school all the way from Kindergarten until their senior year! They have always known each other and their families knew each other too! Matt’s mom and Samantha’s parents have worked together over 35 years. Samantha went to SUNY Potsdam along with Matt’s sister. Who knew their lives would keep colliding until they finally got together?! It wasn’t until years later reconnecting with Matt at our local gym where Samantha would be. Little did Matt know Samantha was going to be there and he ended up going to the gym quick, forgot his sweats at home, and wore jeans!

That didn’t stop Samantha from having Matt catch her eye this time. She reached out to him and they kept in touch! Samantha and Matt never thought the other would be interested in each other more than a friend (boy, they were wrong!!!) Later on, Samantha reached out to Matt and talked about getting together. Matt mentioned it being a date and Samantha was BEYOND excited (both sets of families were too!) The first date went beyond perfect and they were inseparable ever since and immediately made plans each day to keep spending time together.

Over 20 years of knowing each other…they finally got it right! Matt and Samantha knew quickly they were each others soulmate. Matt planned the most perfect engagement for a surprise fun fall date with his sister and brother in law at Green Lakes State Park. Lauren and Tanner took our phones to get the right picture and Matt got down on one knee and proposed! It was truly “picture perfect”

We continued our fun fall day and came home to “surprise” our families and Matt ended up surprising Samantha with a family party at his parents house with both sets of parents. Everyone was in on the surprise but Samantha!

From that day on, the rest is history.

We are so excited and ready to continue our life full of love and adventures together!
