Guimarães: check out the local castle, historic city center, & visit Paço dos Duques de Bragança.
Braga: please visit Bom Jesus Funcicular (you can book Guimarães and Braga day trips with this site included), Palacio do Raio, Sè de Braga, and eat/chill/swim at Bamboo & Coconut.
Viana do Castelo: learn the history of cod fish at the O Navio Gil Eannes museum, another great museum to learn about Portuguese traditions and clothing is Museu do Traje, and go to the top up Santuário de Santa Luzia for amazing views of the city.
Some call Aveiro the Venice of Portugal! It is an amazing town with amazing culture. Please see below sites/cities we recommend just south of Porto:
Aveiro: we recommend walking through the city center (which is extremely walkable) and take a boat ride through the canals, visit the Oficina do Doce and try ovos moles, and visit the beaches of Costa Nova do Prado and Praia da Barra.

Lisbon is the largest city in Portugal and let me tell you it is hilly!

The Algarve! Some of the warmest waters in all of Portugal are here! In the district of Faro lays some of the best beach towns which include Lagos, Portimão, Albufeira, Faro, Tavira, & Monte Gordo. Everywhere you go, you will see cave kayaking, parasailing, and some of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see!
Some sites/cities you will see along the way down to Algarve are the following (keep in mind your will be traveling into the Alentejo region; the wine here is insane!):
