About 1 hr 15 min drive from Heber City, UT is a magical hike that takes you to natural hot springs that you can swim in! It is one of our favorite places, I would highly recommend visiting!

A very unique crater with a geothermal spring. You can simply take a tour or even swim/snorkel/scuba dive. You do need a reservation for this, so I would recommend booking this prior to arriving

A very cute and popular town. There are plenty of places to hike or do some fun summer activities. We like just walking around downtown and grabbing a drink or some food or getting some shopping in!
For the more adventurous person this is a great way to get out and explore the mountains in an off road vehicle!
Explore this 1.5-mile out-and-back trail near Salt Lake City, Utah. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 45 min to complete. There is a bit of climbing on rocks to get inside the waterfall, but very family friendly!

A salt crust ranging from a few inches to 5 feet thick forms a perfectly flat, uniform, blindingly white crust as far as the eye can see. The flats are about 12 miles long and five miles wide. Visitors from all around the world have traveled to see this pristine, otherworldly landscape about an hour and half west of Salt Lake City.

A moderate hike with great mountain views and an awesome waterfall that you can explore. There are multiple trail starting points depending on the distance you want to go, see the website below. It is also near Sundance Resort. This is one of my favorite hikes, but can get pretty busy in the summertime.
We recommend the gateway area if you are interested in a more "city" activity
If you are an avid hiker looking for a challenging, all day hike, with spectacular views, this is the one for you! Explore this 14-mile out-and-back trail near Aspen Grove, Utah. It usually takes an average of 9 - 10 hours to complete. It is a pretty popular trail, so you will run into other people, and I would recommend getting an early start to find a parking spot and to beat the crowds

Explore the mysterious Timpanogos Cave National Monument located just outside of American Fork! Take in the beautiful formations and detailed history as you navigate the dark corriodors and ominous rooms by latern!
Reservations for tours should be made in advance through their website. Book sooner rather than later, spots fill up fast! Its about a mile and a half hike to the cave.
The Bear Lake Valley is a recreational paradise! Bear Lake is often called “Caribbean of the Rockies” for its intense turquoise blue water. Jet ski, go sailing, boating, fish, swim and play on our sandy beaches.
If you will be in the area for longer vacation, I would highly recommend visiting some of the stunning National Parks!
Moab, UT is about 3 hr 45 min from Heber City and it is home to Canyonlands and Arches
Capitol Reef is about 3 hr 20 min
Bryce Canyon is about 4 hrs
Zion is about 3 hr 45 min
Jackson, WY and Grand Teton National Park is about 4 hr 30 min
