Bayport Park has recently undergone a major renovation and expansion, transforming the former 1.5-acre park into a 7-acre haven on the Gulf of Mexico. Located at the end of State Road 50 west, this park offers a variety of amenities, including picnic tables, pavilions, barbecue grills, fishing pier and two boat ramps. One of the pavilions is available to rent and the newly added boardwalk offers panoramic views of the Gulf. The boat ramp has been completely overhauled and there is additional parking for cars and boat trailers. Launch your boat and spend a relaxing day on the water – Bayport Park is the perfect spot for a perfect day.
Weeki Fresh Water Adventures is the only kayak and stand-up paddle board rental facility located in Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Whether you’re paddling for adventure or relaxation, your float down 2.8 miles of the tranquil, crystal-clear Weeki Wachee River will take your breath away with its unspoiled natural beauty and wildlife.
Much of your picturesque journey will be underneath the shade of cypress and oak trees, and of course, Florida’s distinctive palms. Along the way, you may find yourself paddling alongside the gentle giants and endangered West Indian manatees. You may also see turtles, otters, storks and pelicans, and underwater marine life in water so clear, you’d swear you were in an aquarium.
Even if you’ve never kayaked or stand-up paddle boarded before, don’t be shy. Our experienced staff members will provide you with basic instructions and the Weeki Wachee River is very easy to navigate, even for beginners.
