How we met...

So technically, we have a mutual "friend" however, the real story was we met online...

He swiped right first, then myself. He thought I was cute and I saw the gun in his photo and thought this is my kinda guy. We agreed to meet up for our first date on New Year's Eve. I was horrendously late, and he almost left the date early.

*Since then I've never been late for anything*

But he stayed and we got Mexican, we laughed the whole time. It was the best first date I'd ever been on!

So we decided to do it again, but instead of Mexican, we got Cracker Barrel and went to Target. We both were so sick, and we bonded over being sick as dogs.

Fast forward:

Valentine's Day, we had been going out for a while now, and we went out for Mexican. We go every month since our first date. He was the sweetest; he made me welded flowers and a pendant. To this day, I never take it off. The flowers were my favorite gift at this point, I never asked for them, he spent 6 hours and made me a pair of them.

The proposal:

Josh decided he wanted to propose in a way we talked about when we had first started dating. With a ring pop!

He drove for a total of about 3 hours just to find three ring pops. Little did I know he was making me candy and a ring pop for a proposal.

He made raspberry candy and it never occurred to me that he was making me a ring pop by him.

Christmas morning rolls around (7 days before our anniversary) and I find two ring pop wrappers. In one was the ring pop he made me (it was massive). And the other one had the words

“Will you marry me?”

In the wrapper was my ring. The easiest yes of my life, and the best Christmas present ever!
