Derek and Samantha met June 20, 2020. Samantha was invited out by her sister, Ashley, and Derek was invited by his sister, Nicole. We all met at Mason's, in Downtown Suffolk, and as soon as Samantha saw Derek she knew she had to get to know him. We went to a house party after Mason's and there Derek and Samantha got to know each other just a little. The next day, Derek got Samantha's number from Ashley and started texting her. A week or so later they began the "talking" phase. Six long months later on December 5, 2020, Derek asked Samantha to officially be his girlfriend, and the rest is history.

To this day both sisters claim this wasn't a set up but we know the truth and are both very thankful for it ;)
