May 26, 2021 – We met, like so many couples do these days, on Tinder, swiping right. After chatting for a couple of weeks (and FaceTiming once to make sure neither of us was being catfished), we set a date for our first in-person meeting: June 11, 2021. We couldn’t stop talking in the days leading up to it, and little did we know, that first date would change our lives forever and lead us to where we are today.

June 11th arrived quickly, and we each set off on a drive to meet halfway for our first date, at a public spot, of course. We went bowling and then had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. From that moment on, we became inseparable. We spent the next two years driving an hour each weekend in opposite directions just to be together. After two long years of long-distance, it was finally time to make the move and live together.

I found a new job I could transfer to and set the date. So, in May 2023, we packed up all my things and made the move to Greenwood.

After so many incredible memories, we knew it was time to start a new chapter in our story.

Then came July 14, 2024, the day my best friend asked me to marry him! (It was about time! lol)

Little did I know, he secretly orchestrated the entire engagement. He’d planted the idea of us taking pictures together with our dog, Winston, so I arranged for Jasmine to take our photos. Meanwhile, he was planning something even bigger. As we were all dressed and ready, he took Winston outside first. When he came back around the house, Winston was wearing a bandana. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee, asking me to marry him, with Winston right there beside us. Jasmine captured the whole moment on camera, making it even more special.
