We matched on Hinge, drawn together by something deeper than witty bios or curated photos (Sydnee had a photo of her with a Raccoon). What really sparked our connection was our shared passion for helping others. As two social workers, we understood the heart it takes to care, to listen, to be present for people in their hardest moments. That kind of compassion isn’t just part of our work — it’s part of who we are.Our first date was at one of Samantha's favorite breakfast spots in St. Louis, the City Coffee &amp; Crêperie. There was laughter, there was curiosity, and above all, there was comfort — the kind that makes you feel like you’ve known someone for years. Afterward, we wandered the aisles of Barnes &amp; Noble, pointing out books, sharing stories, and slowly discovering how aligned our souls really were.From that day forward, weekends became something to look forward to. Together, we created our own little world: walking hand in hand through Tower Grove Park, playing chess, and taking pottery classes where the mess didn’t matter, only the moments we shared. We explored new restaurants, discovered favorite spots, and found joy not just in what we were doing, but in&nbsp;who&nbsp;we were doing it with.More than anything, we simply enjoyed each other’s company. Whether we were out adventuring or curled up at home, every moment was filled with love, warmth, and the kind of ease that only happens when you’ve found your person. Honorable mention -- Boregard is the best boy ever.
