FIRST ENCOUNTER
Quoc and Sam met at a young adult church group (MFC Campus Based) Friendsgiving event. Quoc arrived late, during the worship part of the night, and that’s when Sam fell head over heels for him. The first thing Sam said to her friend Elle was, “Dude he’s cute!!” The rest of the evening Elle and her sister, Rae, were Sam’s wingwomen and attempted to get Sam and Quoc to meet “naturally”. Quoc was not looking for love, but that’s when love found him. Towards the end of the night, Sam mustered up the courage to ask him out for some drinks. Quoc kindly declined but that was only the beginning…


November 26th, 2017 @ Pluckers
QUOC’S BIRTHDAY
Rae and Elle wanted to take Quoc out for his birthday at Pluckers. With their previous encounter in mind, the sisters invited Sam to come celebrate his birthday with him. As Sam was on her way back from Thanksgiving with her family in Houston, she decided to take a detour straight to Pluckers. Quoc took Sam up on her previous offer and they had their first drinks together! *shots of Hennessy*

Flash forward to 5 years later filled with life, love and laughs


July 29th, 2023 @ St. Laurence
PROPOSAL DAY
Quoc planned a surprise proposal in Houston that would include both of their families and closest friends. With the help of Sam’s family, they devised a cover story: Adoration at the St. Laurence Catholic Church, family photos, and then celebrate her siblings’ birthdays.
On the morning of the surprise proposal, all their close friends and Quoc’s family drove down from Dallas/Fort Worth and met at the church. As Sam & Quoc finished up brunch with her family, he made a pit stop to get gas to give everyone else time to meet up at the church before them.
With all their loved ones awaiting their arrival at the church, Quoc walked Sam in and down the aisle. When they reached the foot of the altar, Quoc got down on one knee and asked, “Samantha Marie Flores Pecson, I know you always wanted to get married here at St Laurence but since we’re getting married elsewhere, I figured the next best thing would be to get engaged here. Sammie, will you marry me?”


SHE SAID YES!!
