When should I RSVP
We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 10th via our website. After this date we will sadly have to assume you are not joining us.
If you cannot attend, please still indicate that on the RSVP form so we can plan accordingly.
Where should we stay for the wedding weekend?
We have reserved Hotel Walloon from August 29–31, 2025, and a limited number of rooms are still available! This boutique hotel was rated the #1 Resort in the Midwest and #5 Resort in the U.S. in 2023—so it’s a special place to stay for the weekend.
Since we’ll be staying at Hotel Walloon and all wedding events will take place on or within walking distance of the hotel, this is the most convenient option.
To book, please call (231) 535-5000 and mention the Steyer/Perryman wedding to secure your stay.
For additional hotel recommendations, please visit the Accommodations tab on our website. Note that we do not have room blocks reserved at any other hotels, but we’ve provided recommendations to help you find the best option for your stay!
What is the dress code?
We request semi-formal attire for the wedding day. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors unless inclement weather so plan attire accordingly. The reception will be held indoors.
Are kids invited to the wedding?
We love all your kiddos, but we’ve decided to make this a special adults-only celebration. Thank you for your understanding!
What are the wedding festivities and locations I should be aware of?
Welcome Reception: Hotel Walloon Patio at 7:00 PM on August 29, 2025; Ceremony & Cocktail Hour: Village Green Park (right next to Hotel Walloon) at 4:30 PM on August 30, 2025; Reception: The Talcott (right across the street from Hotel Walloon) starts at 5:00 PM; Afterglow (Afterparty): Hotel Walloon lobby at 11:00 PM
Is everyone invited to the Welcome Drinks?
Yes! Please join us the night before the big day to say hello and take in the beautiful lake views on the Hotel Walloon patio!
What airport do you recommend flying into?
Depends where you are flying from. Here are some airport options: Pellston Regional Airport of Emmet County (Pellston - 20 miles away); Traverse City Airport (Traverse City - 48 miles away); Gerald R Ford International Airport (Grand Rapids - 175 miles away).
Is there parking at the Venue
Yes, there is an on-site parking lot at The Talcott (across the street from Hotel Walloon).
What type of transportation options do you recommend if I'm not staying at Hotel Walloon?
Guests can use Ubers/Lyfts or taxis for transportation; however, due to the hotel's location, securing an Uber/Lyft or taxi may be challenging. We recommend planning ahead and pre-arranging your transportation to ensure you can travel back and forth from your hotel or airbnb without issues.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, of course! It's a party after all.
We're planning to extend our stay before or after the wedding to make it a vacation. What do you recommend we do during that time?
Love that plan! Check out our "Make it a Vacation" tab for our favorite things to do in Northern Michigan!
What is the weather like in Northern Michigan this time of year?
Late August in Northern Michigan is beautiful, with warm days and cooler evenings. Temperatures typically range from the mid-70s during the day to the mid-50s at night. While the weather is usually pleasant, it’s always a good idea to bring layers, especially for the evenings when it can get chilly by the lake. Rain is possible but not super common, so we'll keep an eye on the forecast as the date gets closer!
Who should I contact if I have questions?
Feel free to text/call Samantha (515-468-1361) or Andrew (425-785-7366) with any questions!
