We have reserved Hotel Walloon from August 29–31, 2025, and a limited number of rooms are still available! This boutique hotel was rated the #1 Resort in the Midwest and #5 Resort in the U.S. in 2023—so it’s a special place to stay for the weekend. Since we’ll be staying at Hotel Walloon and all wedding events will take place on or within walking distance of the hotel, this is the most convenient option. We request semi-formal attire for the wedding day. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors unless inclement weather so plan attire accordingly. The reception will be held indoors.

Yes, there is an on-site parking lot at The Talcott (across the street from Hotel Walloon).

Guests can use Ubers/Lyfts or taxis for transportation; however, due to the hotel's location, securing an Uber/Lyft or taxi may be challenging. We recommend planning ahead and pre-arranging your transportation to ensure you can travel back and forth from your hotel or airbnb without issues.

Late August in Northern Michigan is beautiful, with warm days and cooler evenings. Temperatures typically range from the mid-70s during the day to the mid-50s at night. While the weather is usually pleasant, it’s always a good idea to bring layers, especially for the evenings when it can get chilly by the lake. Rain is possible but not super common, so we'll keep an eye on the forecast as the date gets closer!
