It began in 2011 when Zach and Sam, attending rival high schools, both qualified for the state track championships. Zach, a junior, and Sam, a sophomore, found themselves spending more time together as their county’s schools shared a track. At the state meet, Zach finally worked up the courage to ask Sam to hang out. Their relationship began to blossom, but as summer approached, Zach headed to the shore for the summer as he did every year. Despite the distance, they stayed in touch, and upon Zach's return, they officially became a couple on August 19th, 2011.

Zach graduated high school and embarked on his college journey to Bucknell, just an hour away from their hometown, allowing them to see each other despite busy schedules. The following year, Sam graduated and chose to attend Bloomsburg University, a mere 30 minutes from Zach's campus. Despite balancing their respective sports and classes, they made time for each other.

After Zach graduated in 2016, he moved to West Hartford, Connecticut, where he worked for two years while Sam completed her Nursing degree. The couple embarked on the journey of a long-distance relationship, living in different states. In 2018 Sam graduated, they took the next step and moved into their first apartment together in Philadelphia, where they spent the next four years. Over those four years, their love endured countless tests as they each navigated their paths into adulthood. Yet, through it all, their bond strengthened, and they grew closer together.

On October 15th, 2021, Zach proposed, marking the next chapter in their journey together. With the help of Sam’s close friends, Narali and Lauren, he orchestrated the perfect proposal on the rooftop of their apartment in Philadelphia.

In September 2022, Sam began her career as a traveling nurse, with Zach accompanying her on this new adventure. Over the next two years, the couple traveled back and forth between California and Colorado, creating countless unforgettable memories together.

The couple is beyond excited to take on their next chapter in life together: married life.
