It all began on May 27th, 2019, at West End Creamery, where fate (and a mutual friend) brought us together. What started as a round of mini golf turned into the beginning of something much more. The deal was simple: loser buys the ice cream. Ryan lost, but in a classic Samantha move, she insisted on paying for her own. It was clear from that moment on that this was no ordinary connection. Shortly after, on June 7th, we had our first official date.

Then came 2020. The world had shut down, but our story only grew stronger. Samantha looked at Ryan and said, “Well, either we FaceTime… or you move in.” With both of us and Ryan’s parents working essential jobs, Ryan chose the latter. Love found its rhythm in uncertain times, and what could have been a challenge became a beautiful chapter of building a life side by side.

Fast forward to 2024, when Ryan had a big question and an even bigger plan: a hot air balloon proposal over the long Memorial Day weekend. But Mother Nature had other ideas, and the ride was grounded by weather. Not to be deterred, Ryan pivoted to Plan B, an intimate weekend getaway on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. And on July 6th, with the sun shimmering over the water, Samantha said yes.

From a sweet scoop of ice cream to a shared home and a lifetime of dreams, our journey has been filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of spontaneity. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you.
