Samantha and Gary met in July 2014 through his sister, Monica, whom she worked with at ESPNZone in Downtown Disney. Samantha said to Monica, “Oh, your brother is cute!” Monica replied, “Oh, everyone says that”. She thought she didn’t have a chance with him. Throughout the next few weeks, when Gary picked up Monica from work, he spent minutes waiting for her talking to Samantha. After a few interactions, Julie, one of Samantha’s best friends and bridesmaid, gave him her number. Gary followed the three-day rule and kept Samantha in anticipation. Day three came, and he finally texted her.

Throughout the following year, the two spent many days and nights together. They spent their time going on new adventures and learning about each others interests. After a year of talking and dating, they made it official and called each other girlfriend and boyfriend.

The following year, Samantha and Gary began introducing each other to family and traveling together. They went on adventures, creating memories, laughing, and talking about everything and anything. Gary knew their connection was something to hold onto. After another year & a half, they decided to move in together. Before moving together, Pablo, their first fur baby, came into their lives. No more than 6-months later, their second fur baby, Winslow, came into their lives.

Seven years, three apartments, two dogs, and many trips later, Gary finally got down on one knee in the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska, and asked Samantha to marry him. He was so nervous as he held the ring box in his hands. It was a rainy day, but it was the best day. They both cried, hugged their loved ones, and enjoyed the remainder of the trip in a love bubble, sharing the news with their family and friends.
