Our story begins in 2023, when Mario came across Samantha’s profile on a dating app and asked her out. Sparks flew right away, but life had different plans, and we ended up going our separate ways. Little did we know, it was only a pause—not an ending.

Nearly a year later, Mario reached out and asked Samantha to join him for a glass of wine. From that moment on, everything fell into place. We dated for a few weeks before Samantha left for Salt Lake City to celebrate her birthday. When she returned, we picked up right where we left off and officially began our relationship—jumping in with both feet.

Our early months together were filled with big moments. Samantha met Mario’s family at German Days, and before long we were on our first road trip to Houghton, Michigan, where Mario met Samantha’s parents. Just a week later, he was meeting even more of her family at a summer party hosted by her and her sister, Kaylyn. We quickly became inseparable.

By September, we had moved in together, and in December we learned our family was growing—we were expecting our first child. On Valentine’s Day, over tacos at a cozy Mexican restaurant (Samantha’s favorite), Mario proposed. It was perfectly us: sweet, simple, and full of heart. That July, we welcomed our beautiful son, Frank, who has become the joy of our lives and the perfect addition to our goofy, goal-driven, and love-filled little family.

Our relationship is a blend of teasing and teamwork, silly moments and serious ones, misunderstandings and growth, long walks, travels, movie nights, shared goals, and deep love. Even Samantha’s cat played a role in bringing us closer—our first taste of blending our lives before becoming parents.

This is our story so far—sweet, unexpected, fast-moving, and full of love. And we can’t wait to start the next chapter as husband and wife.
