Yes, we do! Head on over to the Booking Instructions tab to book your room as soon as possible. We recommend staying at Dreams Las Mareas- the all-inclusive resort where the wedding will be held!

How can guests book their rooms for their stay at Dreams Las Mareas Resort & Spa?

Our travel agent, Ligia Landim with Liz Moore Destination Weddings, will be the point of contact for a room quote and for the booking process.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, all guests travelling to Costa Rica will require a passport. If you do not have one, it is recommended to obtain one as soon as possible. If you do have one, please check the expiration date. For more info visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport.html

What day should I arrive at the resort?

Arriving at the resort a couple days before the wedding (May 11th) is recommended. Friends and family will aim to be in Costa Rica May 9th to get settled together.

How long should I plan to stay?

We honor your busy schedules and realize most friends will have to head back home Sunday, May 12th. For those with more time off we will plan to explore Costa Rica through the week following the wedding.

Do you have a gift registry?

Your presence at our wedding is present enough! However, for friends and family who have expressed an interest, please feel free to visit the Registry tab.

How do I RSVP?

At the top right corner of this page, click over to the RSVP tab and follow the prompts.

How do I get to the venue?

Email Ligia (wedding planner) at ligia@lizmooreweddings.com your flight itinerary or enter it in the client portal to coordinate complimentary transportation from the airport.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Dress is semi-formal attire for the ceremony and reception, however please wear whatever makes you comfortable. Remember, it's on the beach!

What will the weather be like?

The average temperatures are between 78°F and 84°F around the time of the wedding in Costa Rica. It may rain sporadically at times so be sure to bring a light coat just in case!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors in covered areas. Feel free to kick off your shoes on the beach and relax with us for our sunset ceremony.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no" so we can plan accordingly.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Yes, the dinner options will be chosen before a formal wedding invitation is sent out. Check back later!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Yes! - If special dietary accommodations are needed, please let us know as soon as possible.

When should I book my flight?

Book flights 4-8 months in advance.

Will transportation be available from the airport to Dreams Las Mareas Resort & Spa?

Yes, this will be available for all guests who book their rooms directly through our travel agent Ligia Landim. The travel fare to and from the airport in Costa Rica is included in your room payment. It is to our understanding that the transportation is not a private charter, however that can be arranged upon request at an additional cost. Please notify Ligia (travel agent) when booking your room if you wish to have private transportation or if you are ok with standard transportation (not private).

Do the guests have to pay their booking all upfront or is there a payment plan available?

You don’t have to pay it all at once! If you book early, you can take advantage of the interest free payment plan! All you have to do is book online through (link will be found under the travel tab, scroll down to the notes of importance section to locate hyperlink). . Final balance is due by February 2nd, 2024. It is interest-free! A minimum non-refundable deposit of $100 per room is due no later than January 2nd, 2024 in order to secure your room and private roundtrip airport/resort/airport transportation. Subject to availability at the time of booking after this date.

When is the final balance due to book a room?

February 2nd, 2024.

What about COVID testing requirements coming back into the US?

No mask, no COVID testing, and no vaccination required.

When will Samantha and Chase arrive to the resort?

We will arrive to the resort on May 9th, and leave the resort the day after the wedding and plan to putz about Costa Rica (final itinerary TBD). Feel free to stay at the resort as long as you would like or come travel with us!

Will the resort and transportation offerings speak English?

Yes, all staff and accommodations will have English speaking drivers and hospitality.

Will we need Costa Rican currency?

This is totally up to the guest. The wedding is hosted in an all-inclusive resort. This means all your meals & drinks (alcoholic as well) are included in your room rate. Guests normally bring currency for tipping, which is not mandatory, and can be done in both Costa Rican Colón or USD. Your travel agent will provide you with a tipping tutorial a few weeks prior to travel. If you decide to do excursions the best way to pay for the extras is with a credit card.

Can I book on my own: direct or through third party?

We ask that all guests book through the room block. We have worked with the resort to hold enough rooms to accommodate all our guest choices. By booking within our room block you will help us meet the percentage required to adhere to our wedding contract and this will also allow you to participate in all our wedding events planned for the week. In addition, you will have the convenience of utilizing our group coordinator and hospitality desk for all service request along with being placed in nearby rooms. Not to mention, the world class spa, all guests booked through the room block will receive 20% discount per person on spa services and 10% discount per person on spa products; valid once per person, per stay and not combinable with any spa promotions or coupons.
